Jojoh Lepatan

Hello.  I am Jojoh Lepatan, and I come from the Philippines.  I graduated Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City.  I shifted career and became a teacher.  From business to the field of education and I believe it is my calling.  For my Master Degree, I took Applied Linguistics at St. Mary’s College, in Twickenham, London.

I have been in Taiwan for a long time now.  I am involved in the educational field and in pastoral care for the young and the migrants. I am a lay missionary of the Teresian Association.  I have worked in Sheng Kung since 2000.  I can say I have a thorough understanding of what it is to be a language teacher.  I have been mostly involved in teaching English as a second language.  I have developed this greater perceptive of teaching through participating in different seminars and workshops.

Being a teacher, I enjoy a good relationship with my students and it helps me improve my patience and compassion.  I believe a teacher should teach beyond his/her subject but educate life skills, values, and critical thinking.  For me, an ideal teacher leaves a life-long impression to the students and impacts their life in a positive way.

I am glad to be part of the teaching staff of this fantastic institution.
